Food for thought - ok, if pop is down, meta is boring as ****, but the game is slightly more balanced... does this community really get what it wants? or is it the meek? the loud? what.
And btw it's always game related and not personal, even if it's "you're a dingus newb blahblah"

We just all need to move to twitter, which will probably be ignored as well.

Most of it came out of this discussion thread, where he stated to the OP exactly that.
But its been going on for a while and most of us already knew.

What are we even doing here on these forums.
I am already in the top 25 most posted active members in these forums, and I am grinding to be included in the top 10, while trying to have Post/Like ratio of 2.0.
There you have it. For me, it is almost like a tournament.
And I must say, that grinding for forum achievement by posting is much more fun than grinding for a trinket/mech/whatnot in the actual game. Which is unfortunate indeed.

This forums can be more fun than the game is.
Sad.
But true.

There also needs to be a place for useless complaints, posturing and gibberish, because those things are constant and actually needs to be somewhere. Might as well be here where they don't waste too much dev time.

I assume many of us are here because our spouses, family members or next door neighboors don't actually care about giant robots, laser burn times or the current functionality of jump jets.
Sometimes we can affect a change, but mostly we're just here to chat.

I'm sure some of us players have jobs that inadvertently pay us to be on the forums. But for the MWO Devs, I highly doubt that is what they get paid to do.
