So I´ve recently burned loads of money on Mechs I didn´t like afterwards (Enforcer, Panther, Dire) I´m also looking to invest in a new Assault. I already love Warhawks for Clans and Banshees for IS. Didn´t like Atlas and Battlemaster. I´m doing fine in my Heavy Metal though.

Can you recommend the Zeus for me then? I have no problem using different weapons. (In fact my best HM loadouts are LL + LBX + SRMs Standard Engine for Brawling and ERPPC 2AC5 2LRM10A XL for Fire Support)

Best performance I've gotten out of a Zeus 6S was with a 375XL, AC10 (2 tons ammo), LRM15 (2 tons ammo), and 4xML. The 6T has some nice missile points going on with the right arm (otherwise is an energy boat), as does the 5S (keeps the right arm ballistic). Zeus is pretty XL friendly and the 6T and 5S have some nice hardpoints.

Still prefer my Battlemasters, though.

I have been very impressed with the Zeus...... Atlas is good, Stalker is too. Really depends on your playstyle....

I am a Light and Medium pilot at heart (i enjoy fast heavies too). Going slow really bores me.
The only assault i had success with until now is the Stalker: good hitboxes and high mounted weapons means it is pretty versatile compared to the other assalut mechs.
The Misery in particular is a hell of a ride.

The thing with Battlemasters is to remember that it costs in the neighborhood of 15 to 17 million to purchase and kit one out.

If you are space poor (no cbills) then I recommend Hunchbacks. It's a tough medium with TONS of variants and choices. The 4G is my personal favorite but the 4J can sling LRM10s like nobody's business.... The chassis has a very viable Hero too. All energy, mix of energy and ballistics, it's got tons of ways to play.
