(I personally recommend the first version, as the speed isn't that important for a missile boat, and TAG + Artemis gives huge bonuses for accuracy and lock times, which you desperately need)

ALSO: On any of the "speedier" versions, feel free to keep the engine the same size as the original but add more ammo if you actually somehow run out.

Personally If I was going to to make a Raven into a 'missile platform' I'd make it this way: RVN-3L. The LRM-10s are faster firing than the 20 is for the same missile weight, on top of that they can either be fired together or in a single volley. As a missile 'boat' speed is not very critical, you should be sticking with the group and so only need the speed to keep up. It has ECM to provide better team support ability.Lowering the engine is needed anyways, because at best 1/3rd of your missiles are likely to hit (My own average is ~40%) so that extra ammo means you should do about 240 damage... Which is pretty much why Raven missile boats are bad.

If you have to run missiles your probably best making something like this RVN-3L. It only has a pair of LRM-5s and is meant more as a harasser, tossing missiles from flanking angles on the enemy and having TAG to mark targets for allied fire. The ECM helps hide you as well as allowing you to counter enemy ECM when needed without using TAG. And unlike the others this Raven has the speed to escape most enemies with a pair of MLs for close combat support and firepower when you have no more missiles.

Less of a team player with no ECM, but 2X has some decent energy/ML quirks that can give it a backup weapon or three. Then again, I get no joy whatsoever from LRMs so you'll never see me run a mech that uses them pretty exclusively...

The Raven 3L I've been playing with myself for some time...

It has LRMs, and serves a rather distinct role in a team.

Edit: I see no reason to place the LRM20 onto the Raven. it's kind of a bit too light for the job.

That's exactly why I use it! It is gigantic, and compresses onto the Raven in the form of a compact mini-LRM-20. I use it for the pure lulz of seeing it.

I was a fan of the 1 missile narc tube the raven had before it's overhaul. could troll the hell out of it with an lrm20 and an early clan lrm firemode.

Oh man this takes me back...

Pre ECM, the 3L was the worst variant and to master it I ran it with an LRM 15 and 3 ML with the stock XL210. I don't think we had TAG back then... or at least it wasn't really important.

I even named it Lillipult. Which... come to think of it I never changed.
