Would you like to be able to select in which hardpoint a weapon falls?

  1. I'm fine with the current way of ordering hardpoints. I don't mind having to use more weapons to get the slot I want. (28 votes [9.62%])

  2. I would rather be able to choose the specific hardpoint slot a weapon goes into. I don't like wasted tonnage. (263 votes [90.38%])

It's more than two years later, and this still hasn't happened.

And now the Clans have the spacer advantage as they can dump in .25 ton micro lasers or LMG/MGs, too. The game has to load weapon location data, so we should be able to at least place the stupid things where they belong without paying a tonnage/critspace tax.

i'd like to be able to hoist the gauss on the slep but the gauss go in the lower slot regardless of the order you mount them

Would be nice to be able to move single missile launchers into the torso on some variants instead of having them create a giant tumor on the shoulder.

we used to be able to plug unwanted slots with low tonnage weapons so you can get a higher mount with better weapons. I've noticed that is gone. At least for certain mechs I've tried that with.

I wish that empty visual slots that stick out would vanish. Like an unused ballistic slot on an Atlas giving it that awful hump.

Oh my goodness yes this please! For some mechs it does matter and it makes a big difference for players wanting to get the best out of their loadouts.
