It's the Macross opening footage (from the 2012 Blu Ray edition), but with HG's Robotech intro music.
While the music is good, it unfortunately still carries HG's stink. :/

Which matters little, as just by the threat of suing, HG had shut off PGI from making those redesigned mechs. Which brings up my point.
