Despite all of that, no-one here could help you anyways because you didn't post your build using smurfy. (A tool which can be found here: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab)
Build it in smurfy, post it here, ask for suggestions in a way that doesn't slaughter the English language, then we'll help. Until then, you're on your own.

Look at this sample build: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...097ec9bd8fb4697
By taking the mentioned upgrades I got to a 250 engine (notice that in this way I didn't need the 2 external DHS anymore), and I've upgraded the SL to a ML. By also taking Ferro I got myself another ton of ammo.
You could change stuff around. Want more ammo? Maybe turn all those ML's into SL's? Or drop a ML or 2 for ammo and better heat? It's your call.
And Night Thastus, that wasn't very New Player helpful. You could have worded that in a much more constructive way, or not have posted at all.

I'm sorry, but he's really not that new. He has 130 posts on this forum. I'm just frustrated when I read this stuff everywhere on the internet. Drains you after awhile. Didn't mean to snap quite so hard at him though.
(130 posts, 1.4 per day, means an average of 90+ days since he created his account)

To the OP, generally Hunchies are a mech that you do not want to put an XL in. So, look elsewhere to save some tonnage and then upgrade to a larger standard engine if you choose.

If you are talking about the typing lag, click on the light switch in the upper left hand corner of the reply box. The problem will go away. You will also be able to quote posts and use copy/paste, which I cannot do otherwise.

Excellent advice! I also tend to post from work in between moments but IE (10) is required here. And while it allows me to copy/paste and quote, for some reason it doesn't allow for using 'Enter' for a new line. Which means that for a multi-paragraph post I'm forced to quote other people in order to 'use their lines' for my own needs. (it also includes an integrated (Dutch) spelling checker which auto-corrects some words (which can give weird results) and capitalizes others like 'always' which it apparantly considers a reference to a brand name.

*This last line created through Bilbo's top suggestion, no posts had to be quoted and butchered in order to make this possible*

Thanks Bilbo. I finally found what others were talking about. YIPPEE!!!

This is a LRM skirmisher, play between 200-400 range.. You can drop a heatsink or two for more ammo, but if you are in the medium range, you are most likely going to be using lasers as well, make sure your shots hit, and don't waste ammo and you will be ok..
Tag in the head for peaking and grabbing a lock, normally i would use that slot for a medium laser, but running an XL in a 4J, you loose a torso you are dead, so no need for the zombie weapon.

You can also drop artemis, and a heat sink, and add 3 tons of ammo,, try both and see which you like more.
PS, Grammar {Godwin's Law}'s are everywhere, use Chrome to help keep um quiet, some people have love for those with spelling issues.

Trying to write a legible post with decent spelling and grammar is just common courtesy on any forum IMO. You want other people to take the time and effort to reply to one of your posts in a clear manner? Then take the time and effort to write a decent post yourself.
A person who writes in full text-speak mode will be ignored by me, or if I'm feeling cranky they might get a "lol git gud, yolo" from me.

I would not ignore them, but it is so much easier to understand the post when it is written clearly with real words, of course I understand not everyone has English as a first language and many people (myself included) have learning difficulties, point of fact the majority of my posts are edited purely because I often notice a spelling (UK English, I use UK spellings which are different to US English) or grammar error or that something is not clear after I hit post.

It's not hard to notice when someone is making an actual effort. In my experience some of the worst posts I encounter are from kids 12-14 years old who are actually from English speaking countries.
And not being a native English speaker myself I can understand people struggling with the language. I myself tend to butcher my spelling in a mix of American and British English (Color/Colour, Civilization/Civilisation etc.).
So that's why I still replied to the OP. The writing wasn't very good, but it was mainly just 2 spelling mistakes together with a jumbled sentence structure (a good sign of a non-native English speaker).
And please note I didn't object to the actual subject of Night Thastus' post, only to the way he formulated it.

Agreed. Not everyone around here is a primary English speaker, and there are quite a few youngster MechWarriors playing the game too. Don't discourage them!

Enough ammo for 54 launches, half a ton shy of full armor, 4 ML for close fighting.
Replacing the ML in the RT with a TAG will get you better lock on time and tighter missile spread if you don't mind the loss of close in firepower. Doing that does improve your time to overheat if you fire continuously. (This is what I run)
In most medium mechs I think XL is almost a must but in the Hunchie it tends to be a bad idea.

As a general rule stay away from the XL engines in the Hunchbacks as the right torso is a large target. I run my HBKs with the stock engine and typically do not have any problems but that is just what I do. The main question is do you already have Speed Tweak unlocked? Good luck out there.

This post in no way addresses the OP's Question and is only harassment. It should be moderated.Keep bleeding.
Hey Leif good to see you again. You can try to free up some weight using endo-steel to put a faster engine.

You are quite quick to judge when you have not even considered the possibility that my keyboard is on the fritz and half the time I am too lazy to correct half the things I type.
