I'm really, really tired of being penalized because I own more than a dozen or so Mechs.
Believe it or not, some people actually have different 'Mechs that they choose for different maps, and even for different games modes!!

Why, why, OH JESUS WHY!?!?!?! do we not have the ability to save drop decks yet?

I'm getting a little sick of trying to pick my deck in a panic while the countdown ticks away, I finally get them set and then wonder why I can't save!!!!! Oh there's only 20 seconds left so I can't save. . . .

Irritating as all hell.

Yeah, would be a super nice feature. Or just simply having multiple available decks. Or a better sorting system for the deck building screen even.

Yup - we want this feature as well. We are calling for it... pre-saved dropdecks pls.

Spread the word.

I think PGI would be more inclined to take that as a suggestion if it was phrased like one rather than a complaint. I think PGI has enough of those to deal with as it is. I do agree though that having a selection of multiple drop deck's would be ideal as there are a variety of maps and I imagine a deeper variety of maps in the future and switching to a deck that better fit the map design on the fly would be really helpful.

I'd pay some MC for extra "save slots" so to speak. Quite a few games monetize this way.

I've started three threads about this over the last year, and no one has ever responded to any of them.

I even went so low as to create a twitter account to tweet Russ and the other devs directly about it. All were ignored.

The lack of this feature truly has stopped me from putting any more real $ into the game since I rarely seem to have time to select my carefully crafted map and mode specific decks. More mechs willl just make that worse.

Hopefully, if you upper tier people make some noise about this, they will finally do something.

You would have better luck getting the tier 5 and tier 4 player's to make noise about it, PGI's main focus lately are the steam players.

Not to distract from the issue of the drop decks, but just to answer your comment:

Russ had a laundry list of items in his town hall. Almost all of them are things that have been discussed (complained/whined about) by mostly T1 and T2 players on these forums. My metal association between the likelihood of PGI taking action based on complaints by high tier players more than low tier is based on that. Plus all the hubub about the upcoming $ reward tournament that they are planning is clearly directed to top tier players and I think the changes that Russ proposes to institute are largely directed at that population, specifically for that event. (After all I don't see them doing any $ reward events directed at steam players).

In any case I hope the stored drop deck and select feature is added ASAP, regardless of who wants it. The more people clamoring for it the better.

I appreciate that the developers are busy people - very very very busy people. There is simply not enough time in the day to meet all of the demands that are on the table now, never mind getting new items onto the agenda.

I also appreciate that my suggestion that the developers spend more time playing the game - which pulls them away from time spent in programming - must seem like madness to many here.

All I can say is a stitch in time saves nine.

In this case, something simple like pre-saved drop decks would save enormous amounts of time for all of the CW players - and if the developers were actually in the game for a serious amount of time, it would likely have been one of the first items on the agenda.

Under our current approach, getting something important actually fixed can take a year - because we have to spend the first nine months making noise about it just to get it on the schedule. This is an *** backwards way of doing things - but it is what it is - so if we want it done, we better start barking now.

Make some noise.

I agree. Currently, I don't even bother switching Mechs for CW, it's too much of a panic considering I have a slower computer and each actions takes a little time to complete. This means I'm often bringing my heaters into the sauna (energy boats into Vitric). My mechs like to fall asleep on that map.

That would require coding.

PGI don't like coding.

Now, please buy the latest Mech skin. It is called the Kodiak.

especially with shifting tonnages. deck weight never seems to remain fixed. also if you start adding features like asymetrical forces (like deep raids vs line units vs garrison fighters) or game modes.

Yes please!

If saving decks is a problem (not sure why it would be, but I'm not a programmer), then give us a favorites list in the filter options. At least we could tag CW mechs and be able to pick from a smaller list.

It takes training, skill and nerves of steel to get a fitting dropdeck together (in time). The felt pressure is implemented for a dramatic setting. Just think of it as a feature Posted Image

Ah yes, of course. I've obviously been looking at it wrong.
