Currently events start at 10AM PST Friday.

In the Oceanic region this equates to:
West Aus / Kuala Lumpur / Singapore / China = 1AM Saturday
Japan = 2AM Saturday
East Aus = 3AM Saturday
East Aus DST = 4AM Saturday
New Zealand = 5AM Saturday

It generally means being unable to play in events on the Friday.

We do get the Monday, but by then you're often doing things other than shooting robots & drinking beer.

lets use world of tanks as an example. all there mission start at 7:20 am eastern time. everything needs a start/finish time. pgi is what 8pm east coast for all event if i remember right. both these time suck. 1 i early in the morning when u got work, the other is the night is half over and u got other crap going on. at least for me. they do whats best for the bulk of the ppl playing, going to assume aussie ppl are a small portion.

Events generally start at 1pm EST not 8.
