Do you have a mech that just seems cursed? Every time you drop, you get a bunch of random nonsense builds for teammates, no ECM coverage, or maybe its head has a magnetic attraction to gauss rounds.

I've got a mech that I'm trying to grind basics on, and the thing must have been born on an Indian burial ground, under a ladder, on Friday the 13th.

My TDR-9SE has a respectable 1.14 K/D ratio and what is probably a fairly unsustainable 1.63 win ratio. This is a pretty straight forward mech, pile on some LPLs and do your thing. I think I won my first 6 games in it, and from the beginning was throwing down some 500+ games.

The TRD-9S however is just plain cursed. I've seen everything in this mech, from random performance issues (frame rates under 20 for an entire match, which has never happened before or since), to some super lightweight team drops (a pair of IS heavies and IS 80-ton assaults in the fatty lance one game, and saw a Spider in the assault lance the next), and just some all-around brutally bad teams.

Through its first 16 games, the 9S is 1-15 in wins (0.07) and boasts a whopping 3 kills (0.19). Tons of these 16 games have been 12-0 or 12-2 type games. Haven't had a mech perform this bad ever. Previous 7 mechs I've mastered are all between 0.93 and 1.83 KD, and 0.86-1.71 win/loss.

Clearly it's the mech and has nothing to do with me

Catapult without any doubt.

K2 sniper always dropped in a brawl, make it a energy boat it only landed on the hottest maps.

Lurm versions never landed with support of any kind. If you don't have tag don't bring one.

Any assault that I own. I can't seem to figure out how to drive them, they're just too slow. I prefer going 150kph when i can

I am exactly the opposite, anything beyond 80 kph is using excessive speeding, not needed at all.
(90% you end holding a positions in the midle of the map anyway)

I ave dis. It's my Cataphract illtard murkytits. Every time I drop in it I find myself walking alone straight toward the enemy without my backup. Or I find a Direwolf with a huge alpha and he crits the torso with the AC/5 and arm AC/5 and I walk around aimlessly shooting my last AC/5 with 120 useless rounds. Very frustrating to have a plagued hero mech.

Cursed Mech, not so much, cursed loadout, definitely. If I'm running a Mech with a less than 1.2 heat efficiency, I'm going to get Terra Therma and Tourmaline over and over and over. Or if I'm packing 2 ERPPCs, same thing, every damn time.

Grasshopper, the one with 8 energy hardpoints.... I load it up with 8 MPLs, but I never break 200 damage with the thing. Meanwhile I drop 600+ damage in my Koala like it's chump change, lol. (not saying the two mechs are on even footing, but many people laud the GH, and poo the Koala) I haven't bought any other GHs, as I'm sure the results will be the same.

Some mechs just don't suit some people. I recognize the Grasshopper is an amazing machine, I just can't do ANYTHING with it...

Maybe the Hunchback 4G.

A great little striker with awesome A/C20 quirks.. I try and kick butt with this thing, but my scores are never that great.

The worst part is, the A/C20 always seems to get destroyed the exact moment the armor is gone. I've watched other people play running around even with orange or red torsos that still have their A/C20. It seems like I almost always lose mineband I lose it right as the armor goes.

Yea I torso twist and try to use cover, but that "Hump" is still sizable. The added structure and armor helps, but it still seems like the techs that supply my A/C20 in the hunch are supplying me ones made of paper.

I think the 4G hates me.

I have no understanding of how Elo works (though I do know it's a name and not an acronym, so that's got to count for something). When I take any of my other heavies out I get a decent spread of teammate quality, but matches are pretty insanely one-sided in the 9S.

*shrugs* At least I'm getting somewhat close to finishing basics on it so I can move on to something else. Stupid game forcing me to play pulse laser spamming brawlers...

My EBJ-C.

Was calling it a cursed mech for over a week now. I levelled up my Prime using C-Gauss, 2 LP, 1 ER-Med, and that loadout was beastly. Currently has a 4.5-ish K/D and was loads of fun.

Then I got around to the C variant, couldn't find any builds I liked, so I shuffled around my other builds and converted my Prime to the C.

With the exact same loadout, this damn mech gets the worst drops and never seems to get kills.

i once bought a catapult, being a fan of it from battletech (it's a damn effective fire support mech). every time i played with it, terra therma. every. single. game. no matter what. i gave up and sold the mech and haven't touched anotherone in this game since.

now THAT'S a cursed mech.

My X5 had this problem. Changing it's name solved it.
There is no logic in this, but who cares?
