I disagree with the author's criticism over scale.
Could people freaking get it into their heads this is NOT Gundam?! Mech's aren't freaking Jagers from Pacific Rim!

It's a good article and I think it makes very valid points. The map balance on Alpine is pretty spot on.
It also points out how lacking CW is, and I feel I'm Aldo one of those players that just wasn't motivated to play CW and just went back to solo queue.
Lastly I like how it highlights the steep learning curve for new players unfamiliar with the BT universe especially. This game really does need a solid tutorial.
Overall, an article that highlights the games strengths and weaknesses. It's nothing new to us, but still it'd good to see our thoughts and concerns in text in an article.
Scale never bothered me too much. The trees and plant life are probably too big, but everything else seems ok.
Besides, these are alien worlds, maybe stuff grows bigger there

That's not the problem, the problem is that it feels like we are actors in Mech suits stomping around a Godzilla set with fake tiny cars and fake tiny buildings made of wood and cardboard.
Certain maps do a bit better job of the environment however, like Viridian Bog.

He feels the same frustration that many of us do because of the potential of this game and the love for the universe combined with devs that don't seem to care what their players want or without the ability to implement said players ideas. I like his final paragraph though and I'm also optimistic about the future leading up to the Steam release.
