Now im sure on some vague thread somewere.......someone has talked about this topic. Has anybody seen any kind of tree or bulding damage. like if a laser cuts through a gouping of trees then were the laser moved they should be cut and fall or if a mech is hiding behind a structure then maybe after many vollies of missle attacks the wall will be demolsihed no more cover until the map responds. i want environments to be destructable. Does any one else agree with this or is it somthing that doesnt matter to you?

From what I've seen nothing is destructible. It's a bit disappointing considering that very early teaser that had full on building distruction. The engine definitely supports it, but it's not utilized.

Sigh, Ill answer this one again, In none of the published videos has there been destructable enviroments, However PGI has stated numerous times that they plan to implement them. You will be able to cut down trees with your lazorz.
The Game is in BETA. A lot of things are still being worked on, Enviroment damage is absolutely one of them.

It's still kinda early in development. Synchronizing destructible environment between all the players in a match isn't trivial and probably isn't ready to be presented to players, even in a closed beta.
I do agree it's pretty jarring to watch someone run through invulnerable trees.

Pretty sure that a destructible environment will be implemented - maybe not to the extend at first as some would like but i think that over time this is something that can be improved as the game progresses.

Sweet, I have some patience and can wait for the destruction.

I for one... really hope you are not able to cut down trees.... I will spend half the game being a bloody lumber jack.. lol

They also said that making a lot of the environment destructable resulted in unacceptable performance hits.
