So we've got ourselves a thrust increase. Has anyone else tried to put them back on the Heavy Metal and giving it a go?
Doing so, unfortunately means sacrificing fire power, or choosing XL. In my case, I tossed in an XL 330 and went out...
I've got 4/5 JJ in it, and that seems to actually have some decent hop now. I can't sore like I'm in one of my mediums, but I do actually get off the ground.
I've had to give up some firepower, so it's hard to say if it's worth it...
Any of you had experience with it?
If it's gone well, what are you running?
If it's gone poorly, any thoughts about what the problem is?
Are the new JJ enough to actually equip them now?

Thoughts On The New Jj? (Hm)

I'd argue that they're worth it now, but that's the thing with JJs. You have to want them in the first place for them to be worth the tonnage. If you were given the random choice to have some jump capability vs losing 8 tons of potential weaponry, you'd take the weapons. They still aren't really WORTH IT worth it, but they're good on builds that take advantage of the flight capabilities a la PPCs.
This is my opinion based on how 4 JJs feel on the Executioner. I'd rather have those 8 tons, but at the same time both the EXE and HGN have limited space, it's difficult to use the extra tonnage unless you decide to upsize the engine (or in the case of the EXE, stay cool with 8 more tons of firepower).
