I suffer from Visually Induced Motion Sickness (VIMS) or Simulation sickness please let us toggle view bob and other viewpoint motion as it gives me motion sickness when games have too much view bob when your character/vehicle moves around too much.
Smooth movement is the best.
Watching some of the videos on your youtube chan shows the viewpoint of the mechs and cockpits seem to sway and move up and down a lot which is a worry.

I don't have problem with that, but good luck with your suggestion because people might think that's an advantage... such as you can aim better without the swaying...

Whilst I don't suffer from motion sickness, however I personally dislike viewbob from not just a competative viewpoint (being incredibly obstructive) but also from an enjoyment perspective as it is heavily distracting.
You'd think high-end mechs would perhaps have gyros to improve stability allowing the pilot to be more effective.

Remember, in the BT universe, many mechs are 100+ years old, not shiny off-the-rack versions, so a little wear on the actuators, slightly slower spinning gyro etc, would be expected...
In the military, I had to run 3 or 4 systems simultaniously while in flight, which was often violent.... got air-sick a LOT... so I understand the problem... however (and here come the pitchforks!), the system should have some screen bob (graduated to the speed of the mech, its actions, and damage reactions), and not be customizable by the operator.... many will run with everything off (as stated previously) and that would be too much of an advantage....
Personally, from the videos seen, the amount of bob currently seems about right to me....

I personally would like this for people who do suffer with vims, but sadly I know it would be abused by others because it would make it slightly easier for those using it. Maybe a system can be implemented for the best of both. Good luck

Denying other customer from having a decent experience because some small advantage is silly. It will only push those customers to go and look for third party modification. At the end, it won't prevent it from happening.

I thought they've handled the view bob situation very well so far. If you go to the most recent video about the Frozen City, you can see that as the mechs are running, the cockpit shakes and moves but the crosshairs and view remain motionless over the same point.

This. I'm against removing movement effects from cockpit.

won't work if there won't be any.
Besides - people suffer from sickness that doesn't allow them play FPS games or anything with lots of bright flashes / strobe effects - and somehow they don't complain on BF or CoD forums.

While I respect your concern I have reservations as others have brought up. I just wanted to say that not all mechs move as quickly. Much of the gameplay clips have been from the perspective of smaller faster mechs which may bob around quite a bit or less because of their size. Have you compared the viewpoint from a LIGHT to that of an ASSAULT? Perhaps you'll find one class of mech comfortable for VIMs.
[edit]
Curious I watched over the vids paying attention to motion and bobbing. The bob doesn't even seem to move the crosshairs\torso its just like a static effect of of the cockpit moving about but not the pilot.

I can not help but notice the trend of VIMS related posts on the forums of many video games in the last several months. As someone who suffers from epilepsy I can't help but think its just a bunch of self-entitled whinning. It's really quite anoying and I wish you all would stop it.
There are many people out there that suffer from a wide variety of conditions (some far more prevailent then VIMS) that prevent them from enjoying video games and you dont see them on the forums begging developers to change things just for them.

From what I've seen in the vids, the amount of bobbing can be controlled with speed, exposure and range. If you find yourself in a faster and lighter Mech, than say an Atlas, you might want to play a lot more careful to avoid said effects. If you find yourself in a bigger Mech and can maintain your distance or exposure, then you can reduce the bobbing, simply because you're not attracting too much unfriendly attention. Brawling however is out of the question. You'll get knocked around/down/out A LOT. The Atlas I have mentioned will not be an ideal choice for VIMS affected players because it is made to endure punishment and as a result will cause the screen to shake more than other Mechs.
So it comes down to limit your choice of Mechs and tactics until a better solution presents itself.
