I was looking for a mech that could simulate the Arctic Cheetah on Smurfy, and found that the Stormcrow works pretty well.

For convenience: https://mwomercs.com/wavethree

Spider model showing 8 tons free space: SDR-5D

A Stormcrow with stock armor has 23 tons of space, so if you build to have 15 tons free at the end, you'll have 8 tons of gear.

The Arctic Cheetah will be capable of ridiculous firepower for a light (and equally ridiculous heat issues): ACH on a SCR

Firestarter with ECM? (Clan active probe = ECM): SCR-A

A few streaks: SCR-A

What will you put on yours?

The heat efficiency is slightly off due to the true DHS in the engine.

6 SPL + ECM
2 ERLL+ECM sniper (those high hardpoints man...)
An other I think I'll do a combination of SRMs and laz0rs
My fourth... No clue yet.

EDIT:
For fourth I might try
ERPPC+ERML+ECM+1 additional DHS by shaving off the armor from the arms.

Boating SPL or SL is probably going to be the meta build.

Might even be able to get away with ERML due to ECM and having the speed to get away while you cool down.

Counting down the days.

I think the limited range of the SPLs might be enough to make ERMLs preferable: SCR-A

The ERLL build needs to take off quite a lot of armor: SCR-A Being able to pull a couple of jumpjets off would be really useful for that one.

Naah, for their purpose as a harasser weapon, CSPL are juuuust fine.

Yeah, you need to take the armor off the arms, which will be unused anyway, thanks to those super-high torso hardpoints. No biggie.

If you are going to do srms, I wouldn't take streaks. They're just too heavy and streak 8 isn't going to make you enough of a threat to a light mech, especially a firestarter. Adders do a much better job with streak 18 or streak 20 because they can do a lot more ammo, and do a lot more damage. The best streak boats should also take a tag for super fast lock on time, and the arctic cheetah just doesn't have the free tonnage to easily fit that.

I think the best cheetah build will be 6 er smalls and ECM with 4 extra double heat sinks. Great damage to heat efficiency, decently short burn time, and super light weight. The range is perfectly acceptable with a range module. ER Mediums are just way too hot. The damage to heat ratio is so bad, and you don't have the free tonnage to boat a lot of heat sinks to help you out.

4 er smalls and 2 srm 6s with 2 tons of SRM ammo could also be decent. I don't think it would compare to ER smalls or small pulses in terms of effectiveness, but if you really want to have missiles and lasers, I'd take that instead.

two of the most popular builds i see now are

2x ErSmall laser 2xmedium pulse
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...de6ffb0f840e5b2

I left the extra tonnage so you can put in what you want.

6-7 small pulse lasers
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...faf4418132790b8

this is the 6 pulse version if you want you can change out a side torso for the ecm ,but then you can't use 7 pulse
