I have been wanting a new assault for a while now and was wondering which one I should get. I tried the victor which wasn't really my thing, I also tried the Atlas which I did play for a while and liked. And I played the 3 ac 5 banshee which was, and still is probably my favorite mech in the game.

But I want to try a new assault. Are there any suggestions?

If you do not have the other 2 banshees and you liked the E,you will love the others.

3M works well with 6 medium lasers and 2 LPL(STD engine) or with XL400 and maximum wub(2 LPL 6 MPL,expensive to kit out).
3S is pretty versatile,although slower variant,i personally liked 2 LL + 2 ML + AC20 + STD engine setup

BNC-3M STD-engine

BNC-3S AC20 + 2LL + 4 ML

BNC-3S ultrabudget heat sink boat this one has same heat dissipation rate as 20 true doubles,runs extremely cool and is cheap to build.

Stalkers are what you want. They are great assaults, cheap to run (in the grand scheme of things) and the misery is probably the best hero mech out there

Banshee or Stalker

Banshees do everything but Missiles.

Stalkers do everything but Dakka(aside from the Misery)

Both can tank, both can put out hurt. Both have high hardpoints.
