The worst games are most often when everyone blobs together and circles or when one team sits in a shoebox on top of each other not wanting to move.
Or how about the assault with some medium up his arse that keeps blocking the way.

Why not add ambient heat to the mechs to stop people crowding around each other so much?

It would make sense with all the heat generated by the mechs that when within 20m or so of each other there would be a negative effect to heat dispersal.

As the mech heat increases so should the effect of that be felt within its ambient heat radius.

It would do an awful lot more to encourage people to play across the map rather than in a tiny corner each time.

Whatever it may be there needs to be something to split up the mind numbingly boring group up and go left mindset.

It is a nice idea but i think that massive collision damage (mech vs mech and mech vs structure) is the key to kill the blob.
People will stop blobbing and running at full speed like no head chiken.

You realize that most people tend to go counter clockwise because most people are right handed right?
