This is what is killing CW. It has been 6 weeks since the reset with almost no movement between the 5 IS houses.

With defensive ghost drops the best thing you can do now to protect your planets is to do nothing. Marik TS generally had 2 to 3 12 man groups running 7 nights a week before reset last night there were 5 people total on our TS.

We can no longer force or be forced to defend planets because no one is willing to spend 4 hours ghost dropping.

The only active fronts being the clan borders holds no interest for me and lots of other players like me who could care less about the clans.

1 ghost drop per sector is enough let the playerbase have a realistic shot at taking plants.

The entire new system is horses&%t and they are about to make it worse....

I have pretty much given up on CW, its will be the death of this game.

100% Agree, no one cares about planets now. If they only care about getting games "play now" button is 1000% easier.

We almost got a game yesterday it would have been my first in a few weeks. We had a ghost drop then 12 people showed up but it was cease fire rofl. Everyone on our team went to dinner and never game back.

The fact that one 12 cannot make a difference is what killed it. They have taken this game from needing 3 freinds (4 man groups) to needing 11 other guys (12 mans) no we are at the point where even 2 12's have a hard time taking a planet when there is opposition. So I need over 24 players on a NIGHT to make a difference? Wanting to do the SAME thing as me fight the SAME front...Do they ave any idea how hard that is? I mean if this game had 50,000 or more players these mechanics would be ok. But some factions literally cannot move because they dont have 3 or more 12's on nightly to help take planets. The Defensive Ghost drops HAVE TO GO. Its a waste of my time and another reason i dont play much CW anymore....

But when you are working with about 200-2000 players daily you need to take that into consideration when making your game mode. You also need to make sure that its still FUN because CW in its current form is really no any fun for anyone. Not the PUG's and not the 12's. I think the only people who think its fun is PGI and that's because they dont play their own game.

We had the same problem. After waiting for nearly 20 minutes and then having somone having to leave the entire group just faid frack it and went to play something else.

I think at this point just about everyone wants to see more fights.

I don't want to go back to the old days where if nobody shows up to defend you take the planet in an hour. Then you end up with tiny IS houses (like us :) losing a planet every attack phase.

So really one 12 shouldn't make a difference but they should be able to get fights.

Problem is the 12 needs to attack across an IS/Clan border to get fights, as the defenders will be able to draw PUGs from multiple factions in order to get a team together. Problem with THAT is they will be PUGs and the 12 will likely demolish them.

All of this leaves everyone unhappy. Southern IS houses most of all, since they have no option to attack across a clan border and if they go defend they will likely be thrown in with a mismatched group of pugs against a Clan 12 man.

Really 4x4 can't come fast enough.

Ya didn't want to see ghost drop planets. I hated fighting all night just to get it ghost dropped again in the morning.

But now that know one is playing because of it.... I guess i will take ghost dropped planets.

12 mans are not the problem we are talking Community Warfare here not the Public Queue this mode is made for faction/unit play.

I agree with this post 100%. It's the defensive ghost drop that single handly has killed house mariks player base. When the easiest way to defend a planet is to just not show up at all, you have major game design issue. As it stands right now we have no way to pressure any of the factions around us to even show up to fight.

Just recently we pulled a 12 man together and attacked the davion planet on our boarder. 12 davions showed up for the fight and after we beat them they never came back. Two ghost drops later the group broke up and that was the end of it.

They should make the rewards for ghost drops huge. Then people wouldn't mind so much.

Also every time a ghost drop occurs, anyone in the queue on the opposing side should get a small c-bill/gxp reward.

Maybe make it scale - for the 1st ghost drop the rewards are the pitiful ones we see today, the 2nd ghost drop the rewards are x2, 3 in a row and you get x4.

As much as they suck, the real poison of ghost drops is to make the few people that are trying on a planet quit trying, and go to queues that are already full or to drop games.

BTW I do see a few IS vs IS drops, but I know we could get more. Both times I was in a group but after one IS vs IS drop we couldn't get any more drops, one group split up the other eventually decided to go defend on clan border.

PGI doesn't play their own game mode enough to understand why it doesn't work long term.

But hey, it's working as intended™ and it's easier to blame "the people asking for CW" despite them "not asking for this" at the same time.

I do as well. I'm happy fighting anyone, as long as it's actually 12 players. The ghost drops get disheartening.
I'll admit I've not been playing much CW in between the events. During the events, not much trouble getting matches.

Looks like MS is going to solve your problem about fights for you Goathill. Wolf has pushed through and now has a front with Marik. After my contract is up this week I will take a Marik one. Look forward to dropping with you guys again.
