Im not the ******* trying to control what youre allowed to say, what Im saying is you should demonstrate a little social responsibility and restrain yourself from making further unecessary cheating threads because some random dicksmack got a lucky headshot on you.

Threads like these serve no good, even with evidence. Make a support ticket and show it to pgi. Threads and discussions like these always ignite firestorms of accusations and defenses. Finger pointing and unverified claims and witch hunts that turn people against one another, it fosters distrust among the community and it doesnt bloody help.

The only public attention this subject needs is when Pgi makes the ban waves public, as is their right as its their game. Past that, stop talking about it. File support tickets, even on slight suspicions If you want, but as a community it does no good to have a thread like this every to every other week.

Not every bloody heatshot is an indication for cheating.

After all I guess it was a bad idea to publically admit the existance of cheats and name shame cheaters.
When Soy made his video about cheats you actually had to find it first.
But with cheaters being banned making headlines on PGI News everybody knows about it now.
It just bloated this issue and every N00b and his 10 year old brother are now accusing
everybody of cheating as soon as they got shot out of their mech too quickly.

Everybody is seeing cheats behind every corner now.
Bad trend fellows, bad trend...

I stand by my original actions.

What you're suggesting is that whines are a bigger issue, than PGI actively pursuing a solution to a legitimate problem.

Ignore the drama - focus on the actual issue - one which was not being constructively handled for a significant period of time by the only people capable of doing so.

PGI's name and shame didn't start the haxusations at all, they've been going since CB started, ingame, in the official forums and in other forums. There are people who have LISTS of 'confirmed hackers', you know, people that killed them so they MUST be hacking, therefore, it's a 'confirmed hacker'. I kid you not, these exist, they have since CB.

Russ said in the last Town Hall that they have their list of everyone they've caught using the hack, they just aren't doing anything publically about it RIGHT NOW, they are instead using that group as guinea pigs, Russ's words mind you. I personally find that awesome, and when PGI does finally decide to name and shame again with Ban Wave 2, we'll see how many people were busted and we'll see who they are.

I know I've been reported for using hacks, been told repeatedly that I'm using an aimbot and wallhack. Funniest part, I haven't even gotten any headshot kills when these were being tossed at me, I'd HIT the person's cockpit with laser spam but actually killed them via CT or ST/XL destruction, but because my lasers HIT their cockpit, I HAD to be using a hack. And the UAV being directly above them didn't dissuade some from saying I was using wallhacks, even when their own TEAM told them my team had a UAV directly above them. And this has been happening since CB! We've AWAYS had people who scream hack anytime anyone kills them, regardless of the circumstances.

Ran into 1 guy doing CW back when it was still new, guy would NOT stop going off in VOIP, All chat and Team chat about how the enemy team, WHOEVER they were, were all using hacks, wallhacks, aimbots and they were also able to shoot through walls, do instakills with any weapon, unable to be damaged, and so on. Name a hack from ANY other game and he was accusing every single enemy player we faced of using them. Guy would be the first player to be through all 4 of his Mechs, and usually inside the first 3 minutes of the drop, and just constantly spam all and team chat and voip with these accusations for the rest of the drop. Every time I saw him, same thing, didn't matter who were dropping against, Clan or IS, he started up before we even knew who were facing and didn't stop until the end of the match.

Yeah, PGI's name and shame didn't start this, it's been an ongoing thing since CB.

And yet instead of ignoring it YOU chose to keep bumping it? Practice what you preach so loudly, and too often.

Now on page two? By luck, or by timing, yours being at the top of page two as well.

Check your ego at the door, and learn to let things that upset you so, pass.

Are the couple of "likes" spurring you on? Or just the desire to get one more 'do as I say' post in?

Yup, guess where this train is headed?

If you have reason to believe someone is cheating, please report to moderation@mwomercs.com.

I wish people would just ******* stop talking about it and just file support tickets.

The more you talk about it, the more exposure it gets, the more people convince themselves they can cheat and get away with it that anyone and everyone who beats them is cheating.

Seriously, stop talking about it.

FTFY. ;)
