IN MechWarrior 4 there was written: example

"heat efficiency multiplier: 1.3"

and this was an arctic map, so i knew that if my heat eff was 1.5, all i had to do to unerstand the heat efficiency on that map was 1.5x1.3, and i could build my mech consequently.

now tell my what am i supposed to do with those celsius degrees and what is their use.

Same thing you are supposed to do with the cockpit monitors or the (in)ability to chose your drop destination... ignore and move on
