Atm with lasers being so effective, easy to use and non ammo dependent there seams little reason to use anything else. While I'd liek to see ghost heat apply across weapon systems, and laser heat to slightly increase across the board, this doesn't change the fact that some weapons suck so much that even with bad lasers, would hardly see play. The Clan UAC buff was a step in the right direction, aside from the DW these weapons really sucked and pretty much were hindering pilots using them on other clan mechs.

The elephants in the room to address here specifically are LRMS, LBX AC and IS streaks. The problem with alot of these weapons being easy to use and annoying to play against make them hard to balance properly, making LRMS more accurate, track better or deal flat out more damage might not address the problem or make them simply too good.

For LRMS, I think a simple solution to them is increasing their versatility, in an age where the lock on components hardly work (ecm/ radar dep/ cover) a one trick lock on pony isn't particularly helpful, although it comes in handy at times. While I'd like to see a slight increase in missile velocity as a direct buff, ideally the best buff would be to cause dumb fired LRMS to fly strait no matter how far away as if they were SRMS but retain their minimum range properties of 180m (and they do less damage per missile than SRMS). With the lack of Medium range missiles, adding a skill element to a fire and forget weapon, while still allowing them to keep their old niche would really help the weapon system out greatly. IF being good with them besides shooting at better angles were a thing, more people would use these missiles.

LBX is a tricky weapon system. A current post in the general forums by El Bandito is currently under discussion, a link to it is here: http://mwomercs.com/...particular-but/
My take on this weapon system matches somewhat to the comments, buff the damage per pellet by perhaps by 0.5 give or take and/or add side component damage like a clan ER-PPC since even at optimal ranges, half the shot misses. They are just weapon AC variations and need damage to compensate. I'm also ok with reducing their effect range even severely if they receive a massive buff, 200m shot gun with 2.5 damage per pellet or something of that nature would be fine, kind of like SRMS but for ACs.

Streaks in general aren't thought to be as competitive as strait up SRMS, Clan SRMS barely get by because they can be boated and are tonnage effective. As for IS they only come in tubes of 2, do less damage than SRMS, weigh more tonnage, have a longer cool down and have worse spread. With no control over spread and the many above factors, to save this weapon system the most obvious change to IS is adding in the 4 and 6 SSRM variants. focusing the spread to prioritize the CT more, increasing missile velocity greatly and increasing the range on SSRMS might help bridge the gap between LRMS and SRMS for mid range engagements. A flat damage increase doesn't seam ideal or necessary, they don't need to be stronger than SRMS, just different.

TLDR version:
LRMS: Make them slightly faster in terms of missile velocity and dumb fire strait forward like SRMS. Still have minimum range and use arcing for tracking shots.
LBX: Increase damage per pellet, decrease range if damage severely buffed, perhaps ad side component damage like clan ER-PPC
SSRM: Add SSRM 4 and 6 for IS, Increase range and velocity, slightly increase tracking towards CT.

IS Streaks are fixed with the progress of time line with SSRM 4 and 6. Which really needs to happen. Would add more variety i the Ultra, ER, and LBX department.

LBX fix is slug and cluster switching. So called programming issue. I have done programming in thepast, don't see the problem. Sounds like just a back burner project. Although a tightened cone like the enforcer 5D has might help. Using that mech makes it feel like what the LBX should be for everyone.

LRMs are fine the way I see it. BUT, could add something where non-locked LRMS follow your crosshairs like a TOW missile does. Maybe SRMs too.
