Point is, your chance of a bad team/good team is equal. In PUGville, it's all pretty random. Don't assume a mechanic like no turrets only affects the team you're on.

Indeed. As a light pilot, I'll turn tail and find some oblivious assault to fire on instead of taking on a light-hunter light or medium 1-on-1. There's no win to be had for me in that scenario; even if I kill the light-hunter, I'm usually too damaged to be of much use in the rest of the fight.
