After running a Myst Lynx, I decided to move up and try the Adder. I like the torso weapons hard points - I tried ER PPC's there as I was constantly getting arms blown off due to the prime load out configuration. I did finally have some success after getting enhanced zoom, but that build ran too hot. I then tried LRM's to shoot and scoot with limited effect. I then decided to try Streaks - I had heard of Splat Cats etc. Why not a 4 Streak 6 Splat Adder? Well after getting used to the quirks and such, I have to say I have killed lights in one volley and surprised heavies/assaults with a 50 point alpha...

Current load out:

Clan Active Probe
4 Streak 6 launchers
3 tons ammo

Best match 3 kills 5 assists 4 components destroyed 560 damage 146,000+ C bills 2070 XP

I'm open to comments, suggestions etc.

I've run a Streak 4x4 build for awhile on my Adder. Not as many SSRMs per volley, but more ammo. I've also played with a 2xSSRM4+2xSSR6 build, which trades a bit of firepower for extra ammo as well. However the downside to the StreakAdder is the same as the StreakCrow or StreakDog... The Streaks are just about useless against anything heavier than a Medium mech. I laugh at Streak boats when I pilot a Assault as their damage spread requires me to have near complete armor loss for them to take me down.

The problem is it doesn't do anything better than the Streakcrow. From the obvious issue of only have 300 rounds of ammo and no backup weapon the biggest problem for me is that the Adder and Stormcrow run at the same speed despite different weight classes.

I have seen some DEADLY Adders that incorporate UAC/Streaks/Lasers, but going pure streak is dumb.

My rocket vomit Adder is a mix. Yeah I tried the pure streak Adder ages ago and did 700+dmg. However my personal preference is 2 StreakSRM6's and 2 SRM6-Artemis(+small energy weapon). The build saves some weight and allows for more flexibility in combat. This flexibility includes peeking around corners and not getting messed up by ECM bandits.
