At least there's a reason for weapon scaling problems, but lazy missile slot placement and ugly crappy modeling on the blank hardpoints is inexcusable.

The only reason i can see for weapon scaling problems (that is, them being tiny as hell with wimpy looking barrels), is that someone (the person responsible for them) is very insecure in the size of his manhood.

YES. I WENT THERE!

Bwahahaha.
In all seriousness I thought they were leery on geometry changes because it could potentially 'break' the mech. Eg: bigger hit boxes.

But in saying that, look at the Catapult's VCRs.. Give it more structure quirks it offset the terrible hit boxes!!! It's so back asswards. I now feel the pain Catapult owners went through after seeing the Dragon and Jager. Alistair nailed it when he said it's a lack of aesthetical sensibility

To be honest, i was really expecting them to do this for the arm.
I mean, that's how the Dragon was portrayed in every single BT artwork.
The jointed arm was only shown on the Grand Dragon (which, i'm pretty sure, is considered a separate mech)

And it probably would be a beneficial change for the mech. Definitely, an improvement over having a large, heavily low-hung arm like it does now.

What the dragon can and should look like.
