I am not suggesting a new feature suggestion tool I am suggesting a required structure so we dont have the type of posts I outlined in my post. It helps to read the OP in full.

You can't even put this suggestion in the right sub-section of this forum; that was my point.

You make the assumption these forums aren't living on an island. ;)

I wish people would follow your idea, but I don't think PGI is looking to these forums for any specific suggestions. They just use them to get a general idea of what we feel really strongly about. If there are 10 threads with some half-arsed suggestions on a topic, well, that's exactly the information they are looking for, even if it is a little annoying to us.

I am well aware of what your point was, and thats the point im trying to get at. Half the posts on Gen Discussion are "suggestion" posts that dont even suggest anything other than a biased point of view cluttering the heck out of decent posts.

I get you but think about how clean the forums could be otherwise!

In the last few months since Clans have been released there have been a lot of really ridiculous, poorly thought out "suggestions" posted.

Clan were released last summer, a year from now.

My proposal:
In light of that I would like to propose this.If you wish to suggest changes to the game your post must include the following elements:

1) Your suggestion(s)
2) The reason why you are suggesting this/these changes
3) The positive and negative impacts that this/these changes would have on the game.

If your post does not have these three elements and just has 1 or 1 and 2 your post will be deleted.

Why do I suggest this?
Nearly all "suggestion" posts that come to light in General Discussion and Community Warfare are extremely biased and come from players who are venting frustrations rather than making constructive suggestions.

Also a very high percentage of these posts never look at the bigger picture of what the ramifications of their suggestions entail. If you cannot see that your suggestion to alter any aspect of game play would have some ripple effect on others then you really should not be making suggestions in the first place.

There is no such thing as a flawless quick fix, there are very few times changes will not have some negative effect on the game somewhere else directly or indirectly.

In closing:
I believe that this will stop misinformed/uninformed or biased individuals from spreading their biased, rash and irrational thoughts on the forums cluttering good posts among a miasma of venting and ranting.
