Hey all, I figured I might as well throw this out there. Created as my capstone project as a student, it took me 9 months to model, texture, animate, render and edit this entire movie. A few mechs may look familiar as I was also moonlighting as a modeler for Mechwarrior: Living Legends as well.
Other than the buildings, supplied by MWLL team, I did all the 3D and video work in this film. My dad and I built a fake cockpit and my roommates and friends were the "actors." It was immensely fun to create, but kind of burnt me out on 3D. Now I'm just looking for an affordable way to 3D print some of these models as souvenirs, even though it was made 5 years ago.
I can't wait for this game to be released, maybe it'll inspire me to make some more models or animations. Some of the models on this site are very nicely done and detailed. It's awesome to see the community this strong still. Hope you enjoy the animation.

Nice work.
Can I ask something? Is it possible to make something like this in an SDK for added details and lower time consumption than rendering it through the 3D and rendering porgrams?

Saw this years ago! Nice job. This is what got me into making my own mech stuff in 3D. Nowhere as good as what you have though.

Man I saw this a few years back and it is great. I could never make something like this.

I'm sorry I wouldn't know. You could possibly try it through a game engine or SDK. You may not have as much control over all aspects of the animation. However, if it were just like a screen capture type thing, then yeah it would save a ton of time in rendering.
Thanks all for the comments. Maybe I'll have to make another in the future... just focus on less mechs haha.
