I disagree. A single player campaign is the tutorial. PVE is the secession wars. where the player has an impact on the over all status of the IS much like EVE. then you can simulate the clan invasion. where the entire player base is involved in combating AI invaders. with clan tech salvage being top prize.

granted a script based PVE is also welcome it has a barrier of entry it its creation or its simply o great another go to way point A and kill stuff then B to scout and C to get ambushed....

I want nothing like eve

...is if devs released a campaign editor and let players create the content for themselves.

Nothing says they can't down the road. Hey, question: what happened to those in house mechs they "accidentally" dropped in live matches a few months back? Did they actually fight the enemy, each other or just overheat from random gunfire?

Holy crap, yeah, if we want PVE, PGI should look towards Armored Warfare and Warframe. Warframe has coop missions that are pretty fun, and widely varied. Ofc the same few maps, but multiple game modes that are actually different, rather hten Assault, Conquest and Skirmish being all SKirmish...

Warframe has Defend, Survival, Capture, Intercept, Exterminate, Rescue, Mobile Defense, Excavation....and thats all that I can come up with off the top of my head. And each mode actually is and plays differently. Warframe is an awesome PVE game.

So, yeah, PVE can work, PVE can be fun and engaging and varying. It just has to have more depth and imagination then PGI seems to have....make it more then hurrdurr TDM....

I said it before now again-give us arma3 level of mission detail please, if the pve shadows what we already have it'll grow dull so very fast....
Warframe is ok for a fast action game-but interest level drops severely, very quickly for me. I want pve I can sit down for 2-3 hours and be involved with-not a 30 min throwaway.

Asking for Arma level detail is a big stretch. Just cleaning up a typical MWO Pug map takes lots of time and still requires players to post about the imperfections.
Your request is not reasonable.

Compare the current Forest Colony to the new River City. Compare the number of maps since the game came out of beta.

Mechwarrior Online is heading the right direction here, no one can argue that. More maps, modes and many other game play elements are needed, but that goes without saying.

4 v 4 will be added to the Galaxy war map and they have another map set for each planet type with other modes you can bet on it. Eventually. :)

How many map sets does this game have at the moment? By that I mean they are making multiple maps for each map set to represent a single planet on the Galaxy map, being reused many time for the 100+ planets.
