There are not enough uses for XP.

We need a more robust tech tree.

new skill tree is in progress (they said). so you can forget current one. What interest me, what will happen with current "free" XP on mechs, when new system will go alive. And dont tell me, it will be erased.... :?)))

Last time they revamped the module system and the tree nothing was refunded, tree not reseted, module not refunded. Though they had mentioned otherwise. So we got stuck with module that became useless and tree xp wasted.

For the player that doesn't already have everything but still has a ton of MXP wasting away, offer an option for free MXP>GXP conversion but make it significantly less efficient than with MC so that the paid alternative is still more attractive.

Does it cut into potential revenue? Maybe, but it also makes players happier with the game since they're not forced to spend MC (real money) to use their accumulated MXP; if you don't give two shits about how happy players are then leaving it as is works pretty well.

For the player that does already have everything...who knows.

By "in progress" I take that as "indefinitely delayed" because PGI has proven every reason to take it that way and no reason to take it any other way.

I would be surprised if the skill tree was revised by 2017.
