first let me clarify some things for you experts and specialists to stop you from guess work and assumptions.
- PGI changed its approach to special geometry from completely unique components to add-on geo (like dynamic weapon mounts)
- The texture for those special geo parts are in a separate file along with dynamic weapons.
- For the special geo to have texture, a new variant_rgb(spc,dif) file(s) should be provided with a pattern. (patterns are not all in 1 file, it depends how many the mech has in the first place and how many of that you are going to modify)
- special geo only occupies a very small portion of the file and the pattern can be easily remapped to it from the same component on the non-invasion texture file.
- That special geo already have a texture in the invasion pattern.
- other examples are the gold timberwolf with golden missile boxes (as textured add-on geo)
I have some questions:
1- Is this some sort of PGI revenge for us asking for camo support in PRIME(I)s?
2- or is it because of lack of time?
