Just six static images but it's better than the nothing we've had for 3 years.

Is that... An Ultra sound picture in the upper right???

With that being said. There is nothing important on those monitors.

Gonna reply again. I'm hoping all these map revamps and upcoming mechs is a distraction to whats going on behind the scenes. Filling for those monitors, knowledge base, BV update, tutorials, and info tech/ecm rework, etc is actually being put to good use. MAKE ME PROUD!

The stuff to paid attention to is outside your Mech. Other than your HUD and mini map its all extravagance.

**** sells. Hard. Don't kid yourself. Nowadays, everything is customizable

I'd rather they warn me of criticals, or at least show a rear view camera on one of them

Read this thread then saw the cockpit images for the Shadowcat and something occurred to me:

MWO was never meant to be a game that would one day be complete. Instead, it has always been designed to be continually evolving. Them screens may not be all that important this minute, but a little ways down the road is the Oculust Rift and other VR helmets possibly becoming mainstream.

If VR where to ever become a part of MWO, I would guess them screens would become really important.

I have heard Paul will soon make a "Significant Announcement" about those cockpit monitors.

That is, that he will be rescaling the font that says "No Signal" to make it smaller.

Imagine if we can put whatever image we want in the monitors, and PGI can monetize it. ;)

If we could put anything we wanted, many mechs would be filled with porn. PGI would have to blank out the monitors while spectating to insure that people and children do not see 'offensive' imagery.

Make it client side so you always see your own choices for monitors, or a default one, when spectating. it wouldn't be feasible to have user uploaded images on a per player basis anyways, but a localised customisation that only you can see would work.

I'd rather see the monitors display real game info though.

Some form of censorship on spectator mode is fine with me. I just want to be able to see what I had put there in the match. Besides, having nubile young women as wallpapers is actually pretty damn mechwarriorlike.

What makes you think they are stupid?

You realize that Infinite Games Publishing was founded from within PGI for the sole purpose of publishing MechWarrior, correct?

There is another publisher you should look up: Groove.

They published, mostly, games developed by Jarhead Games. Guess who ran Jarhead Games...

Russ and Bryan.

Groove developed what was called "Skillground" - something akin to a match maker but that allowed people to post wagers on the outcome of various games. Groove is a former entity, much like IGP. Russ and Bryan regularly create these shell companies to funnel funding through into whatever they have (perhaps a retirement account, perhaps they are part of some new world order front group, who knows). It wasn't a gambling system, per se - but it was fairly close.

Anyway - I can almost 100% guarantee you that their talk of "sports gaming" with MWO will be aimed in a similar direction.

They aren't stupid.

They are what we would call predators who have no issue with us believing they are stupid, just so long as they can continue to be paid for minimum effort.

Well - Russ and Bryan are. I can't pass judgment on the whole of people at PGI as I don't have a complete history on them.

They may not be 'world class' predators, but they've found a prey that works for them and have stuck with it.

... And I'm currently bearing witness to one of the most intense lightning storms I can recall... I can't say I've ever seen so many nearby strikes. Thor may smite me before the day is done, at this rate.

I thought they were replacing "No Signal" with "SOON ™"
