Do you guys have any mechs that you more or less default to when you're having a bad run of games? Not even a necessarily overpowered mech; just something that you're so comfortable playing that even on your bad days you outpreform most of the TBRs/SCRs/EBJs running around the queue? Or even just that you find it much more fun to play than any other mech out there. Show me your ride, guys.

WHK-A: I just finished leveling this thing up recently because it has been overshadowed by the other variants, but I love it nonetheless.

WHK-B: This thing is an absolute monster and my mech of choice when I want to "carry harder" in the solo queue. ggclose indeed.

WHK-C: Dual gauss is just as good as it is on any other mech, but the ability to pair it with 2 lasers for a nearly heatless alpha is insane.

WHK-PRIME: Least appealing paintjob because (i), but this is probably about as good of a brawler as the Warhawk can get imo. You still suffer from being relatively fragile and being mistaken for a DWF, but if you get into someone's face, they're basically dead.

A good pilot can make any mech work and carry on most. Stop with the TBR/SCR/EBJ hate bandwagoning. It's exactly that sheep mentality that ruins balance and the game.

I don't hate TBR/SCR/EBJ, but you cannot deny they're the most common mech for a reason.

Yeah, the reason is the top comp teams use them because they work best with the tactics and playstyle they use. Which frankly has very little to do with the PUG que; and all the sheep think that automatically makes them the best mechs in every situation.

Comp matches DO NOT play like PUG matches.

You post pictures of camos instead of smurfy links?
Also, the camos are way too intense. Looks like child toys.

When I'm having a bad day at go back to my BJ-1. There's something really satisfying about JJing around and dumping AC/20 rounds into unsuspecting enemies.

I love my bright, vivid colors. They're the only camos that really even show up because of the filter a lot of maps have that makes all of the more subtle colors look gray. If you want Smurfy links, I can make some; but I didn't think anyone would particularly care about the specifics of the builds.

My Dakka Whale. Sure I will run out of ammo eventully, but the enemy team will have 3-4 mechs down and others heavily injured thanks to me. I call that worthy trade.

btw evan20 you shouldn't compare a medium even a top tier one and an assault even a non top tier one

also, mekanïk destruktïw kommandöh, a very nice tiger warhawk

Yea a pretty good ******* reason too......

THEY ARE *****************OP*********************
There _ARE_ Overpowered.

They DO deserve to be nerfed into line with the other 60+ mechs in this game.

I dont get why this game is so incredibly against any sort of nerfs. We get devs that either make something terrible or OP as hell, an a community that isnt smart enough to ______calm down______ and let deserved nerfs happen to mechs that are statistically OP like the Timber.

I'm reguarly going back to my hunchies! Then again, most of it's variants are actually pretty good support mechs, even the SRM variant can be quite fun. Getting rarely back to orions, tho. They even lack specialisation compared to other IS mechs, including hunchies.

But when I do it and get some of these rare matches, then it's really satisfying to rule a match with those ugly torsomachines! Idk, there is just something awesome about orions (not just the torso size!).

TBR/SCR/EBJ are best in Pug matches, no clue what you are talking about. Speed, Survivability, Range and Alpha are the best tools in the chaos of Pug War, and that's what these mech got in spades like no other mech.

I don't play it often, but when I grow weary of the SoloQueue's shenanigans, I bust out Hilda. Because she gives no f***s.

.. fyi, I find the timber a fairly boring mech, and not because it's good, because I don't find it all that good. In fact, I find most of my 65 tonners & 85 tonners to be better than it on a regular basis. I've never had an issue with the timberwolf. Only reason people die to it alot is because people run it alot. And that compounds the problem.
