We all love those classic sounds, and after emailing support i was replied with this:

After reading through this page on the do's and don'ts. This is the only part that refers to the sounds:

"Q: May I use graphical enhancements through third-party applications, such as SweetFX or other CBar modifiers to enhance my graphical performance?

A: We do not encourage the use of these types of modifications and in particular should we detect the use of any modification that does any of the following we reserve the right to suspend/ban the account responsible.

b ) Changes game assets sounds, models, or maps, to gain tactical advantages"

Since adding in these sounds doesn't offer ANY tactical advantage we are free to use them?

The line is clear as mud but after cleaning the mud away though this I am under the impression that using these sounds is a-okay.

If Tina, Russ, or Paul could comment on the matter (and perhaps allow everyone to use this nostalgia overload, ps. brownie points with the community) that would be greatly appreciated.

I've already made her sound like Mechwarrior 2. It's so wonderful. Strip the bass plus a little echo goes a long way...
