European Takeover Personal Challenge Event!

PGI is getting the events right, now I just wish the community would...If only everyone understood the meaning of "personal challenge", and that 30 pts are very attainable through normal gameplay.
Instead it's the "Friendly Fire Free-for-All!" out there...everyone running into each other and the enemy in a headlong rush to get their 30 pts, allied mechs be damned. Was like watching a switch get flipped when the event kicked on: normal matches>apeshit matches..
Hopefully it wears off as the "newness" of the event wears.

You can get all the other items by playing on NA or European servers... when Singapore goes live I'm sure they'll do something similar for you backwards rotating drain countries. No need to panic

Makes the epic rewards much more achievable...
True enough. However I think a LOT of the gameplay time for most people will be happening over the weekend. I actually expect the servers to be quite busy.

Hopefully!
The NA drops will be best.. ..ping this end settled to 230, but for EU server its like 340, that's going to be a pain. Time to ditch the SRM's for streaks on a few mechs..

I'd be interested in SMALLER flags that don't take up half the view. Maybe ribbons with symbols instead, like a green ribbon with a harp for Ireland or a red/white/black ribbon with an iron cross for germany and a blue and white flur-de-le (or however you say it for the French! Old/Imperial symbols and flags are so much cooler. Who wants a Mexican flag that looks like an Italian flag that looks like an Irish flag? BORING.

People in other countries actually like their countries? What's that like?

It's not about liking your country as much as the fact that there's so little of us it means a big thing feeling represented anywhere. And being part of such a small and insignificant country, it feels very underwhelming and dissapointing being (yet again) ignored even in a silly thing like cockpit country flags while other slightly larger insignificant countries that are very similiar to yours are being represented. So why didn't we get a flag?
Yes, we have a problem with that, and the only thing worse instead of not being represented is being mistaken (even in sports, like olympics it's really shameful that this can still happen) for a different country, and then they take the credit, while the world still doesn't know that you exist and your achievements matter.
Being able to pick almost any of the EU flags but not yours is a legit reason to be upset. It could have at least been there so people know we exist, even if nobody would pick it, but I know of several Slovenian players that do play the game. So being offered to pick something else or even a country that everyone is mixing us up for adds even more salt to the wound.

I do get your standpoint though.
