This is true. You should score 30+ in the vast majority of your matches. With that said, you WILL fail to do it from time to time if you're playing hard and not being a chickenshit, because sometimes, things just go poorly, that guy one-shots you, or what have you. It WILL happen from time to time that you just won't accomplish anything in a match.
Anyone who says otherwise is a damned liar
But, yeah, the lions share of your matches should be 30+ reliably, or you're Doing Something Wrong.

Oh, god, no. You don't have kids, do you? You don't understand their destructive power. Who cares about terrible pain? They'll heal, and probably learn something along the way. You just need to bandage them up, share some hugs, and it's all good. Kids heal fast.

He's such a jerk, does anyone have a kid they want to trade?
This. This is the problem. Children have this knack for finding the things you love, and destroying them. It's uncanny.
I've lost a brand new smartphone, a 52" TV, 4 headsets, a mouse, a bluray burner, a laptop, countless dishes, a wallet, favourite clothes, shoes, the list goes on and on, and my minions are just 2 and 4. The wife's list is pretty crazy too.
See, it's particularly bad, because the things you like best? They're more interested in those things than the things you don't care as much about - you pay attention to those things, so they're more interested in them. And what children are interested in, they inevitably... Disassemble. In one way or another.

Indeed. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that a Match Score of 30+ is a very reasonable goal for ordinary, regular players to strive for in every day play. Now, that won't qualify you for being a comp player, or climbing to high Elo, but it does mean you've made at least a reasonable contribution to the battle.
If you're NOT hitting 30 regularly, then you're not bringing enough to the table and you're a liability to your team.
