Preemptive overbuff, probably to be nerfed batted way after its official release.

Likely all existing quirks will be washed away in the re-balancing.

Yeah, it will be a little disappointing to see the energy buffs go, but the Cheetah is a good enough mech that it won't kill it.

I've definitely settled on running 6xSPL... The DPS is amazing. The real question is whether to run ECM, or the energy quirked side torso. If I run up against SSRMs, I always wish I'd just taken the ECM. I'm noticing more players carrying SSRMs since the Cheetah dropped, so for now I think the sound decision is to run ECM.

Well, I meant all existing quirks across all mechs.

I don't think very much of it will be staying.

6 x CSPLAS is still a bit warmer than I like, can't believe you ran 7! I tried 6 x CERSLAS but the burn time is just too long but the 14 DHS were nice.

I guess I will stick with the 6 x CSPLAS build....it just sucks once you get to the heat cap because 9 true DHS and 2 1.4s don't really bring you back down quickly especially if you are using your JJs and/or the map is hot.

Even with 6 x CSPLAS I forego a strike and double down on coolshots.

I wouldn't say all--from what they have been hinting about elsewhere it seems some of the biggest changes will be quirks that affect things that have not been touched yet--like sensor ranges and JJs.

With 6 you get 7.5% heat gen quirks
With 7 you get 12.5% heat gen quirks

It's actually about the same heat in practice, just do you want ECM or a bigger alpha?

I tend to agree with this. 6xERSL doesn't seem to run great on this mech, with 6xSPL being far more heat efficient when you consider the quirks and extra damage. Just run both builds from beginning to end on Forest Colony, killing every mech as fast as you can.

(Both of these are only basiced. I expect these to drop by 10-15 seconds once mastered)
6xERSL ran between 2:25 and 2:30.
6xSPL ran between 2:15 and 2:20.

I keep going back to my favorite theory build, 2xERML and 4xERSL. It runs fairly cool, has good poking range and decent poking damage, but still retains great DPS with 4xERSL. Plus, it alphas at 34 damage, so it's not that far behind 6xSPL at 36 damage.

When fighting other lights, the SPLs always win, but when fighting bigger mechs and running more stealthy, the 2xERML, 4xERSL build is much more versatile and survivable.

7xSPL is actually a solid build, especially once you get double basics. At the moment everyone seems to be running SSRMs however, so ECM allows a little extra insurance to keeping your legs.

I even tried a 2 x CERSLAS (in the torsos since they have more range) with 4 x CSPLAS in the arms to run 1 more heat sink, the reverse combo, and pretty much everything else you can imagine, including 5 x CSPLAS with another DHS.

I think I will just settle on 6 x CSPLAS running two coolshots though. No matter what your dissipation is pretty low so I think it is prudent to maximize your burst damage since sustained is out of the question.
