Elemental Consumable/Power Armor Consumable
Drops 1 Point (5 men)/ 2 Lances (8 Men)
Damage- 100 points over 20 seconds
Range- 20 meters
Cool down- 1.5 mins
Cost- 100,000 c-bills

???

Way too much damage. And they need a HP value that can be targeted and destroyed

I agree with you son about Elemental Battle Armor forces. The Elementals have their own Dropship called the Sassanid that they use for deployment.

Here is what I think should happen:
  • You should lock on that target
  • A mist of green air appears
  • A Sassanid Dropship flies above the enemy team and unleashes a Point of Elementals (5 men) on the chosen target.
  • The target see the Elementals causing damage in different ways. Beating the cockpit, firing lasers at armor, ripping components, etc.
  • The target takes 3 points of damage from each Elemental per second.
  • Elementals can be shot off.
  • If the Elemental Strike misses, the Elementals will jump towards its nearest target.
Personal Changes:
  • Elemental Armor will use the colors and camos (or decals if it happens) of the owner's mech
  • Elemental Armor will follow the geometry of the Owner's Mech whether it is an Invasion or Standard mech

He just proposed airborne Elementals jumping out of planes like Daddy did. I fleshed out the rest of the idea. But credit is due to the lil guy for his initial suggestion. ;) Oh and he will be six on Sunday to be fair. You would be surprised what kids come up with when they let their imaginations run wild.

Hmmmmm.
  • Clan only
  • Restricted to OmniMechs
  • Deploys 1 Point (5 Elementals)
  • No torso weapons may be fired (head weapon may fire) until deployed
  • Will absorb damage to CT (front only) and LT/RT (front and rear) of the equipping 'Mech until deployed and have 11 hit points before being destroyed
  • Armed with an IS Small Laser (normal cycle time to fire) and a 2 shot SRM-1 launcher (will fire both shots before swarming, standard cycle time)
  • Can only be activated when a target is selected and the player is within 200* meters of the target
  • Once deployed, they will persist and attempt to attack and then swarm the target until the Elementals or their target is destroyed
  • When swarming each Elemental will do 1* point of damage per second in addition to damage from weapon
  • When target is destroyed, they will attempt to retreat from the battlefield through the deploying player's starting side of the map
  • Will perform ranged attacks on any opposing 'Mech that strays within optimal range while retreating
These mechanics seem reasonable to me. Feedback?

Elementals would be perfect in CW, spawning from times to times in a MOBA fashion play. With tanks, common infantry, aircraft/vtols, lance-aligned gameplay and tons of fun.

Anti-'Mech infantry are not unique to the Gray Death Legion. Anti-'Mech jump infantry could be VTOL deployed. Swarm attacks are arguably better than leg attacks as the 'Mech takes full damage from the surviving members of a platoon and a chance for a through armor critical, rather than the chance to wiff a guaranteed crit roll (which in MWO would translate to internal damage as being insta-legged is OP) and do a pitiful 4 damage.

Clans get Star of Elementals that run around and can be killed or last for say 30 seconds.

IS get a lance of Tanks that drive around with the same rules.

Would love to have the option to say forgo a mech in your drop deck for a 3 vehicle drop system....You Run a Tank or Aircraft or Elemental that can deploy up to 3 times in one drop PLUS the 3 mechs.

IDK if tanks or just use Savannah Masters. :D

Untargetable by anything except flamers, machineguns, and small lasers.

Well I could bring up the fact LL showed it could be done, even if it was an eject function, but I understand why we don't have that sort of thing.

BTW, IS pilots should be able to call in Demolisher consumables then... :ph34r:
