Does original tabletop game allow customization like we have in MWO? You guys must finally realize that this is a video game. You are mentally frozen in 80s. Some rules must be changed. 3 streaks in 3 hardpoint is illogical when you can boat 2xLRM20+1xLRM10. The same stupidity is with ONE MACHINE GUN per balistic hardpoint. Jagger DD could easily fit 3 machine guns in one ballistic slot.
I'm also not big fan of this artificial quirk system.

Actually its because of the Video game players you cannot have 16 Machine Guns not TT. Si you would have a Jager with 6+ MGs Plus however many Medium lasers and a huge engine so you could run up and shank people. It was done to death in the 90s...

Not a fan of quirks either. Either you are good in a Mech or you aren't.

Atlas isn't even supposed to have that many Missile tubes.
Lore-wise, they couldn't even fit more than 5 tubes, so the LRM20 it had was a rapid firing launcher that shot 4 volleys of 5 missiles. You know? Like it USED to be, before the f*cking b.s that is the Dynamic Weapon Geometry.
<_<

PGI, YOU BETRAYED THE LORE

And God created the Earth in 7 days and Santa Claus is not a drunk at Wal Mart. See where Lore gets you. I support PGI.

Are you sure about either of those statements?

HA, I was "that guy" on MW 3/4 on mechnet.

Fatlas with every MG I could cram on, full armor, biggest engine. Barge into fools then melt face.

There is "some rhyme and reason", but it's deployed inconsistently, or at least w/o much thought.

For instance, despite the fact that the LRM20 is fit differently on a HBK-4J than 2 LRM10s, why would use NOT use the 2 LRM10s because of the quirks?

On the other hand, the Centurion is not an LRM boat (it does have LRMs in their variants), but its max tube selection is 20, 20, 15. Now, obviously you can't field that kind of build (although you can obviously get close), but yet it puts the Trebuchet to shame (if it wasn't already terribad).

With regards to the Atlas though... I don't know why that is the case, but kinda like the Victor, it was never really meant to be an LRM boat as some people seem to want to do (and generally be ineffective when they load up primarily on LRMs)... but isn't really much thought to why it should be this way... only that it "could" be anything PGI wanted it to be.

Let's not imagine the Catapult-A1 with a tri-LRM15 rack... it's in the data, but those VCRs....
