My crystal ball says PGI's new balancing mechanic will be a take on the system that is in place in armoured warfare: http://aw.my.com/us/...mored-warfare-0 . Tier the mechs then the MM matches your mech tier and ELO with someone else.

When it is IS v clan in CW however, I would have no idea how the system will work here. I guess top IS mechs will retain their quirks to allow them to be on a par with clan mechs for the sake of competition. So do not expect varied drop decks in CW...?

NO. Simple reason is that the IS is already BETTER once they are at the range for their weapons than the clans are...

That you haven't realized this and adapted your approaches to get to that range without taking fire is why you fail.
