Configuring Throttle

I have a throttle control from the Saitek x55 that I want to try and use with MWO

How in MWO do I bind the status of the throttle to the speed of my mech?

Another issue is that mechwarrior does not recognise any button/input from either the saiteks throttle or joystick, does anybody know why?

I use the throttle slider on my 3D Pro joystick. It's configured in settings with "joystick".

in settings under controller set its axis to analog throttle.
