For me, it was the Wolvie-6R and the Jager-DD. Since they are ballistic builds I had no issue with sustained fire and racking up the score, even on the hottest maps. Just needed to make sure I was never in a wrong spot. I had to get off of my Dakka Whale since it was too sluggish for Conquest mode.

Here is some additional feedback I have to say about the event.

1. PGI, thanks for the C-Bills and PT! Went from 23 million to 38 million in four days. Did not bother to get any flags. The Envious Eardrum had sounded many times last few days.

2. New collision effect has pros and cons. It notifies you when you hit something, which is nice and immersive, but it also glues you to a mech should you accidentally brush one. Which is a real downer when doing corner peeking.

3. Shadow Cat is not a brawler guys. Do not attempt to stick around against even a fellow Medium. Stick to hit-and-run.

4. Arctic Cheetos is tough as nails. One had overheated and shut down almost in front of me, ate about 10 AC5 shells, lost a side torso, started up and scooted away like it was nothing. The mech is definitely top tier Light in terms of durability and firepower. :o

5. ECM, ECM everywhere. Probably the first event with so little LRMs. At least in my matches.

Used a Timberwolf-C, so I had enough armor and dps for those matches where 30 match score is hard work.

Only needed 30 points, so I haven't changed my playstyle or mechs at all.

WVR-6K? Easy.
RVN-3L with SPL and SRMs? Easy.
Poptart Nova? Easy.
XL Banshee? Even easier.
TDR-9SE? Easy-peasey.
Dual gauss Timby? Why the helI not?
Locust? Not a problem.
Urbie? This time with more trolly warhorns.

I've been running both the Cheetah and Scat. I still have plenty of matches to go before I get the million cbills bonuses, but fortunately have plenty of time to go.

1) SCat really is not my cup of tea. I hope to see it get a few improvements. I would much rather take my BJ-1X out, any day over the Scat. Currently, I know my team will lose if more than 2 Scats are on my team, because each is a medium spot taken up by a fat non-elited kitfox.

2) Arctic Cheetah is the real deal. It can brawl, it can snipe, it can even make julienne fries. I am very happy with this little monstrosity.

3) I am a little sickened by how many ECM mechs there are on the field. Perhaps releasing 2 ECM mechs on the same day wasn't the best idea.

I've spent most of the event in my new Thunderbolt hero.

I heard the meta build is 3 large pulse and 6 small pulse, but I prefer the 776 meter range ER large for sniping.

With the hero mech bonus plus premium I've had several matches where I made over 300K c-bills.

Ran Spider-5D, STK-5S, then when that got old, switched to brand new TBR-C and HBR-Prime.

Kinda gave up after I got all the 24pt NA prizes and the 12 pt EU, EU server turned toxic as time went on, can't take the negativity and people freaking out over every little thing. It's a pity, because I really wanted Irish and Italian flags, but it's not worth dealing with the people over there.

I've been itching to try the King Crab for a while, so when I saw I could get 6 days of premium rather easely I bought one and started rocking. Mastered all three variants through the event.

DWF-A

30 points is very easy in a decent assault. Had no problems getting the points regardless if it was a win or loss.

I had to level my brawler Timby-D (now i have a mastered timber wolf!).
It plowed through enemy teams (not always, but often enough ;) ).
I feel guilty now, so i guess i'll drive my jenner-K and my Misery.

I really enjoyed the event . . . thank you PGI for all the dosh and the freebees.
I levelled up all my shadow cats and learnt a great deal about how to use it . . .
The Shadow Cat turned out to be my favourite mech . . .
Who would have thought ?

The BNC-3E. That thing is built to grind points based events. I just charge straight inna the enemy, get my 300 points, and move onto the next match.

Didn't change my playstyle and leveled my Shadow Hawks through the event. Since I have all 6, I gave them a variety of loadouts and the SRM brawlers were more effective than normal thanks to the event and its side effect of increased numbers of Streak boaters ^_^ Besides that there's always the easy mode with long range loadouts.

Might even have time to start leveling Griffins once the remaining SHDs are mastered.
