Buying Origins Iic Mechs From Greece

These are supposedly going to be lifted soon, but I am afraid not before the end of the current origins IIC sale.
I wonder if we can purchase the deal retroactively once the greek banks loosen up?
Thanks a lot in advance

Ryokens probably has the best option

This is probably your best bet for making a purchase. If you can get a Visa gift card that isn't linked to a Greek bank it wouldn't be subject to the restrictions.

Well gee that's a thought. Don't give the company any more money, so they then can't pay their employee's who produce more content. That way CW will never be finished.
Great, let's get on that one.

(Prepaid cards would not work because they are not getting issued anymore, and I never had a spare from before the implementation of "capital controls"

I have been playing mwo since the beginning. Even though I do have some complains regarding certain aspects of the game (well, who doesn't), I do see a significant and constant improvement which is all I ask. Also, I am a hardcore BT fan so I am easier to please than a casual gamer.

Hope things clears up soon. Shame people have to live on the streets or do not have a income no more.

The irony of this logic given the current economic crisis in Greece is quite amusing.

The bigger irony is that you don't austerity your way out of a depression or recession, that just makes it worse int he short run and prolongs it. Yet that is exactly what other European nations are demanding of Greece. That particular poopstorm isn't over yet, mark my words.

Sadly that's not irony, that is (in my mind at least, perhaps not the IMF) sound economic theory. The problem is the EU monetary zone can't print money and devalue the Euro without destabilizing the rest of Europe - so the only measure available is austerity. 25% of Greek assets have already been privatised, won't be long until they're selling off islands. And also correct - the recent EU bailout was enough to bridge investment payouts for about 6 months to a year - so in 2016 we'll do this all over again with Greece in even more trouble.

Erm - it's the country that's bankrupt, not the banks...
And they actually tried that, Putin has been seen snooping about Athens.

That is the thing...mechs are not content. CW is content. 20 artists and only 7 developers means you get shiny new skins that do the same thing they always have for 3 years and no real content. The game is on a treadmill in terms of actual improvements and content. The small amount of things that have been improved are inconsequential for the most part to the game play or long term sustainability. They basically have to redo the terrible choke pointed maps. They need to redo CW. They need to basically redo much of the game which wreaks of incompetency. But hey....if you think mech packs is content we can't debate our points. Keep playing TDM for years to come with new skins.
I supported from open beta handsomely but no more. They don't get one more red cent from me until the core of the game is made acceptable. They had 5 Million to start with from founders and who knows how much they have now after figuring out mech packs is their cash cow. Keep letting them milk the sheep.

Logic error. It's technically content. Just not content you specifically want.
I'm inclined to agree that only getting new mechs doesn't push the game much further at this point, new maps, new modes, better CW are needed.
But mechs are still content, they still require resources to produce.
