I read every BT book that came out, though there were a few that were kind of boring most were very good reading. Especially if you were into BT.
The very first BT novel was nice to have, but you'd only want to read it once. The Warrior trilogy came next and that's when the BT novels really started to take off.

The thing I really loved was how the books tended to be written from the perspective of a faction. As a result in one book or series the Combine is the evil horrible empire but another story may cover the same events but show why the Combine acted that way and it's suddenly no so horrible necessarily. There were a number of those occurances which I loved spotting.

But the Warrior trilogy are the 3 the best book of the entire series! Stackpole´s Masterpiece! Great view into the politiv´s of
the 4th succession war and some pretty coll characters.

Its what I used when I collected them and read them all. Sword and Dagger is the earliest chronologically but its not the best BT book and its very difficult to find. I loved any from Mike Stackpole, Robert Thurston, or Loren L. Coleman
