I kind of feel bad about it but last night I saw a Hunchback on my team using the 3rd Person Flying Eye. My cursor just happened to be pointed at it so on reflex I shot it.
It did not disappear or explode, it seemed to just go back inside.

The Hunchback pilot stopped thought and turned around.
I happened to turn the other direction and he did not catch me.
I think he thought it was someone else... (guilty look) ;-\

Although it was kind of fun I don't plan on doing this again but anyone have a strong take on this one way or the other?

You can't hurt the third person eye.

I've shot the 3PV drone of others before. It doesn't hurt anything, though it might startle people. Probably best not to do it.

I once took a shot in the third eye but attribute it to my drinking problem.

When they first came out you could shoot them down, not sure what this did to the pilot using it though... Was fun...

I'm getting mixed info here...

Does anyone know for sure if you can shoot them down or not?

Timing.

You happened to have hit the drone at roughly the time they switched to 1PV.

They turn around to see where the shot that went over their head came from.

Not anymore. They took that ability to out in the very next patch (might have even been a hot-fix).

If it is consensual and you are both drunk, have fun while you both are young.

Its o.k to shoot them in the eye, unless they are bending over in the shower !

what did it do to the pilot? switched them to the normal view or something worse? could they deploy another 3rd view drone?
