So many favorites! This is a really, REALLY hard question.

I think my absolute, all-time favorite is the BattleMaster. Even though it's one of the Unseen, and now has a new design, I've always thought that rifle shaped PPC was amazing.

agreed but my other one would actually have to be the thug

Hammerhands. It just looks ready to put a hot slug into someone's gullet.

Favorite Older Mechs would probably be either the Warhammer, Zeus or Warhawk (Masakari).

From the newer stuff...
Hellfire, Posted Image, Canis, Posted Image, or the HeliosPosted Image

Yeah... I tend to like a certain look :P

Had a Maruader 2C myself and it was my favorite as well. Have a friend that still plays battletech, and he's got over well over 3000 custom painted miniatures, they are awesome. But he's stingy when it come's to his Marauders =P Wouldn't sell!!!

somehow in b4 urbie, and blood asp (sarna it, the art pic not the horrid 3d pic)

It's because no one ACTUALLY likes how the urbie looks. They just like the "cuteness" factor of an ultra-tiny mech shaped like a trashcan. (I personally fail to see how a trashcan the size of a small house is 'cute', but there's no accounting for taste.)

Though it's mostly just that David White has great art, anything armless looks cool to me. Mechanical transformer hands seem impractical and weird. Giant gun arms are okay, though!

^ Osprey wins

Others:
Firefly
Cephalus
Hellstar

Vulture and Adder are cool designs, too.

I always chuckle when someone's favorite Battletech mech isn't actually a Battletech mech.

The oft-ignored Summoner/Thor has to be my favorite though. Finesse over firepower.

Since I've only ever played the computer games, I really have no way of knowing what's what. How does one tell what's official?
