The man who played Admiral Greer? Sure, but only if we include Jack Ryan, Domingo Chavez, and John Terrence Kelly (aka Mr. Clark).

Best Ryan - Alec Baldwin
Only Chavez - Raymond Cruz
Best Clark - Liev Schreiber (which is hard for me to say, 'cause I love Willem Dafoe)

Those are all reasonably manly names themselves.

My junior high school math teacher........Mr. Dick. Takes a lot of man to stand up everyday in front of a bunch of smart-assed kids with a name like that.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that since I believe Alec Baldwin is an indescribably terrible actor (though not the worst actor in his family). Of course, he was better than Ben Affleck.

But I think Harrison Ford played the best Jack Ryan, not that he had a lot of competition there.

I'll give you that one. At 6' 3", he's much more believable as Mr. Clark than Defoe's 5' 9".
