Who could have thought from the Concept Art that she's pretty slim overall?

This seriously makes me considering buying it.......

Not sure how I feel about the jutting CT/belly. It seems pretty pronounced, I hadn't noticed that in the TRO art and miniatures. Hopefully it isn't a CT magnet.

That jutting chest/belly is Alex' way of redesigning the enormous "tongue" hanging down from the face:

Here I thought the KDK had a bulging CT, maybe it'll at least be able to shield with its arms.

Yeah, that's funny I had never noticed that before I just looked for it after I posted in this thread. Interesting. Either way, the arms look long enough that they will probably shield decently well, so that's cool.

And the arm mounted weapons sit pretty high because of those unusually high elbows on the arms (almost similar to the Kodiak's).

Yeah the arms should be higher to balance out the fact that no variants have LAA.

NovaCat! It was always one of those badass mechs that i loved and hated at the same time.

I'm still holding of on the preorder because I wanna see the scale compared to other mechs.

and dem arms... dang they high.

That said... still expect the low speed to be more a detriment than people realize.

It isn't a Nova Cat though..

Yeah with no LAAs, I would expect them to be a bit higher than other mechs. Yeah maybe, but judging by the Kodiak hopefully it will get some nice 30% accel/decel and twist/turn quirks.

Mounts look pretty good across the board - the arms are unusually high (given the long legs) so that settles some fears I had about its dependence on arm weapons.

It does look surprisingly different from Alex's concept, there are many noticeable changes aside from its de-roundification.

Definitely tempted to buy it now...

I hope the CT hitbox will be that thin mid part.

I think it could depend on what people are looking for here. If you think it over and piece together what this is, you'll be prepared for that slow speed.

As an IS enthusiast, some of my best mechs are at that 70kph, tweaked. It lets you bring the guns, but forces you to stay part of the murder-ball.
Sounds great for FW defense, and other tighter situations.
