It did get hitbox changes soon after its original release... and now it's easier to remove side-core (XL engines beware) and Clan tech will emphasize the deficiencies of the originating IS version.

wow the people in your group must be terrible are killing or they consider you as their little kid brother and let you have all the kills. How many games and under what circumstances did you get such an awesome ratio im curious? back in the days of group in solos? Any ratio over 2 means i have less than 20 drop in a mech except for my ember.

ppppppppppppp play an Orion. You can't torso twist for **** unless you have a 350. You're either as agile as an atlas or hgn or have the payload of a ciccada.

Oh well, I don't know why players come to MechWarrior and then complain they don't like the long range component. MechWarrior doesn't work as a dedicated Brawler. To use any tactic, brawling or long range you have to plan and execute the tactic, not just have it gifted to you by the devs. With a genuine balance between long and short range you get a multi-layered mech combat game as opposed to laser-vomit and the Orion works very well. My Protector still holds the best stats I have on a mech, but could never do that now. Now it's just junk because it don't vomit lasers.

ok, I have played some Orion in my time (lots, actually)
I'm not exactly mech master either, but the torso seems to move just fine
everyone tries to play every chassis like a Timberwolf and complains cause they suck balls

Well...yeah. They look like mini atlas, they have the hardpoints to be mini atlas and they are called as such so expect people to do just that.
Theres another thread about ON1 that was started yesterday and i posted in it what i did with them. So i played them last night, they are not as bad as the title of this thread would make it seem. But they are unforgiving in this new age of mech shooting 10million weapon at once at you, you don't want to be a new player in an On1 i would guess. If i told them the low amount of armor i put on my back to stay alive they would dismiss me as a fool. When you enter a fight with an On1 you are stuck in it for better or worse. With a good team this mech could do great things but that would probably means the other team is good too and would take you out quickly because your model is as bad as a treb or an aws..
I don't even "buy" the people that says the Summoner is bad, i do great in them. But the ON1 is hard, even with a 350 if you enter a fight you're stuck in it. Long range mech are boring, maybe that's the problem.

Bad move.
The Orion was actually decent when it first came out if you put an XL engine in it and were good at torso twisting.
