Do you like the revamped River City and Forest Colony over the old version, or did you think the old versions were better?

Vote here in this poll, I'm curious to see the results.

River City: http://www.poll-make...638x3bc2982C-15
Forest Colony: http://www.poll-make...640x08058db8-15

Post below if you'd like to share your opinion and the reasoning behind it.

Now I just need to bug staff more about being able to post poll topics in General Discussion. <_<

New ones by far.

The immersion of landing in by drop ships is always great. The maps seem to cause less funnels into the same 1-2 areas. They feel built with "lanes" in the map to go straight down. Every battle I've had on them has felt fluid with both teams spreading out to make sure they didn't get flanked.

New ones, no question... though It'd be nice if the River City bases were closer to spawns so those back areas of the map would see some actual fighting once in a while. Forest Colony has some areas like that as well but a simple moving of bases probably wouldn't help those areas.

I like both the new and old versions. The new ones are better for 12v12 though.

I like the new ones a lot, but I also liked the old ones. Old River City just needed the old spawn locations, and both would have benefited from being 8v8.

While I generally love the new one better, I just wish they'd optimize the maps better... or if it's a game problem, then I wish they'd optimize the game better.

Look at my sig for general rig info but this setup should not be seeing swings from 100FPS to low 30s with "high" settings.

NEW!

Aside from the crazy lack of sight on Forest Colony i like it much more. I just think some of the branches need to be lifted/removed in some of the areas to open it up. Keep the center dense.

Old forest, any day. New one too full of crap & spaff. Looks nice as a visual project, not fun to navigate.

City, new, but it's a close one.

Never played the old River City.

The new Forest Colony is good, but would be better if maybe 50% of the underbrush would be removed. The worst thing about it is that even though it's 4 times larger than the old map, ever battle only uses about the same size of the map as the old one, it's just longer transports to the battle. Dynamic spawns and bases/caps would make it a much much more enjoyable map as it would be different each time.
