unless it does have RT LT armor quirks.

Giving torso buffs to the 2xUAC20 Hunchie would be just like giving +15 structure to the best light mech in the game.
Oh wait.
It might just happen.

2xUAC20? that's not possible. and even with a really slow engine and not much armor and ammo, would go bingo in seconds. 2xUAC10, with the latest ammo buff, would be the best choice imo. there is even space for some backup lasers.

The Hunchback IIC will make a good addition to my HBK lineup. Not my average HBK you say?

It can be done with max armour aside from the arms and a handful of points from the legs (4?). Dual Gauss would be considerably better because of the stock engine only having 8 TrueDubs, but 7 tons of ammo would fit in that config without lasers.

XL200, stripped arms completely and some off the leg leaves you with 31ish tons of guns.

I dont really think running a 50 ton mech at 71 kph could be considered viable though - imo upgrading to a 250 for 10 truedubs and ~90kph is pretty much mandatory. 225 at the very least. Its what, 28 tons of guns with a 250? I think builds like 6xMPL, 2xUAC10 + 2 ERML and SRM24 + lasers of choice will be the main things. Might actually make a pretty sweet SSRM carrier as well with an XL 275 and JJs. Twin gauss / Twin UAC20 will be too slow / too short on ammo imo

It was a terrible idea from the outset.

sarna oh.. battletech fantasy realism doesnt take in account that in MWO you need at least 10 heatsinks. also, good luck with a 65kmh medium. an atlas with half the armor.

time will tell. i'll satisfy my need of 2xuac20 on the warhawk, i'll drive the hunchie with different builds.

Now if those Ultras were PinPoint 20 damage shells back to back , devastating to at least 1 or 2 mechs before Glorious Firey Death on the Battlefield and possibly Genetic storage of your remains in a Clan Repository.

The Hunchback IIC was designed as a "last chance" mech for warriors who do not prove exemplary in combat. They know they are being weeded out and they are looking for that one glorious fight that will put them back on the path to a bloodname. It's an "all or nothing" mech, and that's why you can only take a couple of shots at the doubled firing rate before you run out of ammo.

Max torso armour

71Kph

Go with 5 tons of ammo, a JJ and more 80Kph with the 225.
With Dual Gauss, you don't need TrueDubs. UAC40 build will be truly trolling, but can be done.

28 with a 250.

80Kph would be fine for Dual Gauss, still faster than the Assaults. Dual UAC10 is just pitiful in comparison.
71Kph, with worse agility than a PeaceDove (quirks) would be pushing it, but still adequate.

A 50 tonner can't do much with 2 ballistic slots. Either one or four+. A big gun or MG's, everything else is redundancy(except for heavy quirks).

Reduced weight Clan ballistics help...2 UAC/5 or 2 UAC/10 would be viable, while also allowing you to move at medium mech speeds (250+ engine) instead of heavy mech speed.

This things armor is horrible, especially the 2 AC 20 one. One of the main things that makes Hunchbacks great is twisting to save your hunch and the great armor for a medium. This mech will have 2 sides to protect and not enough armor to last long.

I feel it will hill hump okay but once people figure out how squishy it is AND they fact that it has 2 ac 20s they will focus it down super fast.

Hunchback 2 = 192 Standard armor and 2 hunches to protect
Crab = 288 Standard armor not hunch to protect
