Hello everyone;

Im having some trouble with the game and was wondering if im the only one with the trouble!

im having lag issues, I play quite a few graphic intensive games at max graphics and they are all online. and i have no lag on them at all (well not that my human eyes can pick up). but for some reason in the last week im laggin ALOT in MW and only in MW its to the point im getting cored because of lag. im running a I7 with over 16 gig of ram and a ATI 6970 i even turned the graphics waaayyyy down and im still laggin but like i mentiond befor its Only with MW i dont lag in anything els i play at all ! so if anyone has any input please let me know.

Two things you need to tell us what is your FPS? Hit F9 to toggle FPS, then you need to tell us your PING.

Also, that card is 5yrs old second what is your I7 MWO is CPU intensive.

Well gona get that info for ya BUT none of that really matters do to the fact that it was not doing it 7 days ago it just started doin this and this is the only game it does it on. I have been playing MWO for a wile now . i half to check my FPS but my ping sits around 31 and even though my card is old it didnt do it a week ago!

my processor is a Core i7-3770S 3.10GHz its the quad core with multi threading

My Ping sits around 31

and like i mentioned it just started lagging and i didnt change any hardware and it doesnt do it in any other games

Ok i have my frame rate now it fluctuates from 12 to around 90 FPS 12 from what i noticed

Are you using dx11 or 9?
Could be a CPU bottleneck (could) MWO is CPU intensive.
Are you running MWO 64bit?
Drivers up to date or was there a recent update?
The more info you can give the more we could help.

well im running DX 11

yes i am running MWO 64 bit client

yes all my drivers are up to date

i dont think its a bottlenech unless the computer did it to itself from when is started playing the game to about a week ago it was smooth runnin and over night when i powerd the pc back up and went to play i had lag

im confused because i dont think there was a update and i didnt change or add anything that night

and all my hardware is running just fine

so im not sure what the problem is i would totaly reinstall but unfortunatly we pay by the gig here and we are already close to our limit this month and i really dont want to pay extra so i dont want to re install it

but that is the only other thing i can think of to do

Two things then if you're close to your limit do they throttle you? That could possibly one issue.
Second is I asked did you by chance recently update any drivers. Sometimes they release a driver and it's actually bad, so you might need to roll back.

To be fair, I haven't really talked to anyone at all lately that hasn't been experiencing lag spikes since the last big patch.

Some people on the forums claim they've seen nothing, but every single player I actually play with or ask is seeing them, and often, on both servers.

It's just a tiny little lag spike, but it seems to occur whenever a mech dies, or whenever you get a lock and are about to fire. It's happening so much I'm almost used to it already, but it's definitely prevalent enough that I'm sure a fix is on the way, be it related to the collision changes, HSR, or something else entirely.

Good to know about the lag spikes. But about the drivers nuthing was updated befor the lag started happening and no armstrong dont turn down speed they just charge ya more lol. Thanks for everyones input

The spikes are still happening by the way, fewer and further between, but had some real nasty ones this morning that scared the crap out of me while running my BNC.

What's funny is that my FPS lately is higher than I've ever seen it, but I can't really enjoy the difference, due to the lag..

Well weardist thing happend!! for no reason at all my lag went away last night around 3 am est time i played a game had lag then got up got something to drink and tried another match and the lag was gon and its still gon so im extremely happy i can enjoy the game again!
