1. Mobile HQ
2. MASH Truck
3. J-27 Ordnance Transport
4. 135-K Coolant Truck
5. BattleMech Recovery Vehicle
***Communications taken from battlefield recorders***
"Alpha lance, enemy coolant truck in A-7, take it out!"
"Roger that."
"Charlie lance, there's an ammo truck in J-7, go refill your expendies."
"Yessir, we'll recon it."
"Bravo lance, on me, there's an enemy mobile HQ, I want to phone the Coordinator, let him know he's got some casualties here."
***Communication excerpt ended***
Now what does this all mean? In a perfect world we'd have more dynamic gameplay. #1 could allow one side C3-esq capabilities, #2 for pilot healing, #3 gives "limited" ammo resupply, #4 gives the owning side a slight cooling buff, #5 gives "limited" armor repairs. Nothing game breaking, but just enough of a buff to make it worth while...
Of course this is too much so I'd just settle for something other than the two we got now.

I think TT & Lore-lovers are going to object to any kind of repairs. But I agree with the general premise. Add some purpose to captures. Capturing should ideally have 2 characteristics, in my opinion.
Anyone standing on the square uncontested gets to fire artillery / airstrikes either via line of sight or via battlegrid. I'm not sure which would work better.
There's still a lot of questions about how this would actually play out. It's hard to create a new game mode for a FPS game. Which is why PGI should have been sensible enough to steal fun game modes from other games in the first place.
- It should be fun. After all, people play MWO for mech combat, so the alternative to fighting needs to be entertaining as well.
- It should be profitable. As it stands, you earn way more C-bills and XP from fighting than from capping.

If there are to be J-27s about I expect them to explode when fired upon... Spectacularly... Damaging nearby 'Mechs and leaving a smoking crater behind. Why have J-27s if they are not mobile hazards to be approached with caution and more than a bit of trepidation.

This would require giving a certain story or mission type per map rather than it being a generic map to fight on. Can't have meaning without story/purpose.
